Locking is deliberate. Once verification links have been issued and payment is made, key fields are frozen so that every party verifies, reviews, and signs exactly the same document. Without that lock, a detail could change after one party had already approved it. This is why you should read the draft carefully before sending links — check names, addresses, dates, amounts, tenure, deposit, and any special conditions.

It depends how far the workflow has progressed. Before signing begins, some corrections may still be possible — contact support with the agreement reference. Once a party has signed, or once eStamp or final document generation has commenced, a correction generally means preparing a revised draft or a new agreement, and additional fees or reprocessing charges may apply. Amounts already spent on government stamp duty or third-party eSign transactions are typically not recoverable.
