You open your personal signing link, review the final document, and confirm you want to sign. You are then taken to the eSign gateway operated by an authorised eSign service provider, where you enter your Aadhaar number or virtual ID and authenticate with an OTP sent to your Aadhaar-registered mobile number. Once authentication succeeds, the signature is applied to the document and you are returned to WeSignDeal. The platform records the signing timestamp, transaction reference, IP address, and device information on the agreement audit trail.

Common situations include foreign nationals, some NRIs, and people whose mobile number is not linked to their Aadhaar record. Where Aadhaar eSign is unavailable for a party, you should check whether the agreement type offers an alternative electronic signing route, or whether wet-ink execution is more appropriate for your transaction.

Only where they are legally authorised to do so — for example a director or authorised signatory binding a company, or someone holding a valid power of attorney. Each verification and signing link is personal to the invited party, and completing someone else's link or signing in their name is a breach of our Terms and may be unlawful. The platform records which link was used, when, and from which device, so misuse is traceable.
